Part 2 (On the Edge)

This part is a training track where participants transform theory and inspiration from Part 1 into action. Taking place in Iceland, the training is co-ordinated with Dansk Ledertræning ApS. Training is conducted in a simulated company with diverse requirements (demands to various skills and resources). Challenges will be strenuous, and participants will achieve both deeper and more comprehensive experience of their own resources and those of other participants in this simulated company.

Only approx. 20 % – 30% of today’s mergers and re-structurings succeed. Therefore, these particular issues will be subjected to deeper scrutiny. In this part we will launch a “merger operation” to offer participants deep insight into the dynamics of this challenge. The inspiration for this element will be taken from Tavistock’s group relations processes.

Participants may expect to go beyond some personal limits as they gain new insight into their weaknesses and how to handle them. An in-depth reflection and a fascinating form of confrontation will open up for capabilities of handling own weaknesses as well as enjoy new or rediscovered resources.

Participants will gain awareness of the importance of their own role in a team. They will get to understand such concepts as leadership and followship in connection with their teamwork.

To have been part of a agile performance team and having tried the effects of synergy may impact on the rest of our lives. Through a broad spectrum of personal challenges, participants are encouraged to test their limits, focus attention on their own resources and bring into the open their great personal, unexploited potential.

This phase is not particularly physically demanding – everybody can cope.

In Part 2 our efforts and focus will be on translating theory into practise.

Nothing comes from doing nothing!
