Part 1 (Destination):
This part will introduce some simple, yet forceful models and tools to the participants and
instruct them in their use. The process will follow these powerful steps,
• Farsightedness
• Coaching
• Agile teambuilding
• Strong inspirational sessions
Participants will acquire solid theoretical understanding of the tools and test them 360
degrees around with their own situation as a starting-point. The outcome of this part will be an
operational, future-oriented development plan prepared by participants, both as leaders and as
private persons.
When taking off on a journey, it is important to know where we are heading, where we come
from and, obviously, to have an idea of how we get from one point to the other. Without these
criteria, a journey may end up totally different than expected. If, e.g., the destination were
Denver and starting-points were either New York or San Francisco, the journeys would take quite
different routes.
Farsightedness is about setting worth while goals. A goal describes an ambitious, attractive
future based on previous successes combined with skills and attitudes acquired during the
challenge. The Farsightedness will be translated into a plan that will support the process toward a
new level of personal development.
The coaching session during the challenge primarily takes place with a partner. Reflection
and sharing are seen as a vital part of the process. The partner will act as a coach in reflection
training.
Participants work/train in heterogeneous teams to appreciate the importance of clarity,
trust, diversity and commitment – aspects to open up chances of achieving high performance.
This part will focus on understanding and using methods and tools.
